It
is here in this Divya Desam, one serpent king named Vuragama Adisesha was
blessed with the vision of the Moolavar - Vulagalanda Perumal, when caught in
the maze of trouble. And fulfilled his desires to his heart's content. The Lord
is in standing posture and facing west. The Tayar is called Amudavalli and the
temple tank Naga thirtha. Sarasrikara vimana is adorning the garbha griha. Daily
puja is offered with great veneration and the yearly festivals are celebrated on
a grand scale. Paey Alwar, Nammalwar, Tirumalisai Alwar and Tirumangai Alwar
sang in praise of the Lord and offered Pasuramalas. In the spacious campus of
this holy kshetra, there are two more independent sannidhis for two I3hagawans.
It
lies in Kancheepuram and accessible by walk or auto from bus stand.
