Ah what a faith! How much veneration from a Muslim at it. To cap all as it were, he sent special message to the Acharya touring in far off country to hasten to home state; for, he opined, "In whatever country holy personages like you self reside, the country will flourish with good showers and crops. Why should you live so long in a foreign country. Please finish you work soon and return". Sure, he is second to none but to himself. It can be presumed that he equated the guru to be on par with God. Such gems are rare, but they dazzle and dazzle and dazzle from their place making the sun blink.

The spiritual organization founded at Sringeri by Jagadguru Sankaracharya made spectacular cultural conquest of the worlds not with arms but with words. Has not spirit soared higher than body? And Soul mightier than material body? Indeed, Sringeri, of all the religious institutions enjoyed the brightest record of a line of highly philosophical giants and versatile acharyas that made Hinduism rise its head towering above any other contestants for honour.
