VAKRAISWAR - MAHISHAMARDINI MANDIR
Mother
Sati's manassu - mind fell on this sacred spot and the temple built later is
installed with the icon of Mahishi mardini. The kshetrapalaka is called
Vakranatha.
It
lies in the burial ground of a village 10 km off Dabujiraopur on the Vondala-Saindhi railway line accessible by bus.

KANYAKASRAM - SARVANI MANDIR
The
place sanctified by the falling of Mother Sati's prushta - back is called
kanyakasram. And the Mother's icon installed in the Bhadrakali mandir, just
opposite the kanyakumari's temple is worshipped as Sarvani. Nimisha is the name
of the kshetrapalaka.
It
lies in Kanyakumari temple town, accessible by bus and train from many towns in
Kerala and Tamil Nadu states.
