PRAYAG - LALITHA DEVI MANDIR
Mother
Sati's hasthanguli-fingers of hand fell at Prayag, the sacred confluence of
three holy rivers-Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Lalita Devi is the name of
Goddess worshipped in a temple. The name of the kshetrapalaka is Bhava.
It
lies in a temple near Akshayat in Allahabad fort now popular as Lalitha
Parameswaristhan.
The other place
claiming as Sakti-Peetha is located in Natara. No decision is arrived so far
regarding this.

UTHKALVIRAJA KSHETRA - VIMALA DEVI MANDIR
The
sacrosanct nabhi - navel of Mother Sati fell at Utkal Virajakshetra and the
deity installed later is called Vimala Devi. Jagannath is the name of the
kshetrapalaka of this peeth.
It
lies in the campus of Puri Jagannath temple. There is another in Yajpur going by
the name of Virajamba mandir. Controversy has not ended in fixing the exact
place and Puri is the rail head and all modes of conveyance is available to Puri.
