GANDAKI - GANDAKI DEVI MANDIR
Mother
Sati's dakshina Kapola-left cheek fell here and was made sacrosanct with
building of a big temple. The presiding deity's name is Gandaki and
kshetrapalaka is called Chakrapani.
It
lies at the source of river Gandaki in Nepal and the region is called Muktinath
kshetra, accessible by four wheelers from Khatmand, the capital of Nepal.

SUCHI - NARAYANI MANDIR
This
place is made sacred by the falling of Mother Sati's Urdhava dhamtapankti-upper
jaw. A temple with the goddess Narayani was built later. The sentinel is called
by two names-Samhara and Sankrusa. The temple that came up later was lavishly patronized
by rulers.
It
lies in the famous Suchindram temple dedicated to Sri Sthanumalaya Perumal
Sivalinga representing the Trimurtis. A very famous temple acquired great name
as a Sathyasodhana kshetra, where Indra was rid of the sin of Munipatnigamana.
It
is about 10 km off Kanyakumari-the lands end where the three seas-Bay of Bengal,
Indian Ocean and Arabian sea meet making and it is a mokshapuri of infinite
spiritual reputation with Mother Kanyakumari worshipped in an ancient temple and
accessible by rail or road from Nagarkoil, a famous town in Tamil Nadu.
