On this sacrosact place fell Mother Sati's crown - Kirita and probably due to it, the place is called Kirit. Samvart is the name of the sentinal keeping guard of the place. The presiding goddess is worshipped in the name of Vimala Devi and pious theists are making trips to pay homage, since its recognition as one of the Sakti-Peeths.

It lies about 8 km off Lalbagh Court Road station and one has to reach Budnagar covering a distance of 5 km from this. The temple is built on the bank of Ganges, the most sacred river of all, proved by even scientists.

3. BRINDAVAN - UMA DEVI MANDIR

It is here Mother Sati's Kesakalap - braid was dropped due to Sri Mahavishnu's mighty disc's cutting the Mother's corpse. The name of the image now worshipped is Umadevi and the kshetrapalaka's name is Bhutesh.

It lies in the Bhuteswara Maha mandir on the Brindavan Mathura road, at a distance of 3 km from Brindavan, accessible by tonga or auto from Mathura.
