MAHAMAYA MANDIR
Mother Sati's two knees fell in the campus of Pasupathinath temple in Nepal and
the Goddess worshipped is called Mahamayi devi. The sentinel's name is Kapala
bhairava.
It
lies in Guhneswar mandir on the bank of Bhagamati river in the Pasupatinath
mandir's campus.
42. JAYANTI -
JANTI DEVI MANDIR
The
place sanctified by the falling of Mother Sati's vama jampha - left calf muscle
of the leg is called Jayanti and-the Devi worshipped goes by the name of Jayanti
Devi. The sentinel's name is Knamadeeswar.
It
lies in Bhorbhag village of Jayantia hill, some 50 km off Silang in Assam,
accessible by bus.
