Within not only every human being but in all embodied creatures dwells an individual soul, a portion of the Eternal in manifestation, which is the reincarnating entity at the core of our awareness. This soul is in essence one with the Absolute, and in action functions as an instrument of the Creator. The evolution of the soul is to seek unity with God (Ishvara) and his will in order to merge back into the Absolute or Supreme Self (Paramatman, Brahman) through expanding all the potentials of higher awareness within it. Until human beings awaken to this inner soul or reincarnating consciousness and its eternal spiritual aspiration they must remain in confusion and make errors about their real purpose in life. The Field of Nature There is a force of Nature as the field of creation, called Prakriti in Sanskrit, which provides the soul all possibilities of experience. All souls take birth in the field of Nature and work through her forces and qualities that function equally and impartially for all. Nature as the Divine Mother in manifestation works selflessly for the benefit of all souls, working out immutable law which is beyond the caprice of any God, even the Creator. |
