This
One Religion must includes all forms of truth and not merely be
limited to the field of religion as such. It must extend to
philosophy, art, and science and include the study of the subtle
worlds as well as the transcendent Divine. This
religion of truth cannot be compartmentalized, possessed, controlled
or dispensed by any authority, church or institution. It cannot be
identified with an exclusive creed, single teacher, book or
scripture, last judgment, or mass belief.
It must stand above all
manipulation and cannot be used for any form of propaganda or any
proselytizing. This
One Religion of truth must not only be a unity in its nature but
pluralistic in its approach and in its formulations. It must be able
to accommodate all the differing needs of living beings and their
varied inclinations. This point must be grasped very clearly or the
search for the One True Religion must end in partiality and
violence.
The very essence of the One
Religion of Truth is a pluralism that rejects nothing useful for the
higher evolution of humanity and provides a free and diverse
approach to the infinite not encumbered by any limiting dogma. One
could call it the Universal Dharma rather than simply the One
Religion to overcome the bias and limitation inherent in the term
religion, which suggests an irrational faith, not immutable law.
