There are three basic worlds of manifestation, the
gross or physical world, the subtle or life plane, and the causal
world or sphere of the higher mind. Human beings sojourn in the
subtle worlds between physical births and the soul has its abode in
the causal sphere beyond the world of form. Beyond these three
worlds are the realms of pure consciousness, infinity and
boundlessness which are only accessible to the awakened or realized
soul.
The Law of Karma and Rebirth
The basic law behind the universe is the law of
karma, which means that we create our reality according to our
actions, individually and collectively. In its movement through
creation back to the Absolute the soul takes many births and goes
through all the kingdoms of Nature working out its karma and aiding
in the cosmic creative play. In this way there is a perfect justice
in life that does not depend upon the whim of any being but reflects
immutable laws that serve to teach harmony and equanimity to all
creatures.
Dharma, Cosmic Law
The universe rests upon Dharma or cosmic law that
links together all creatures and all things in the universe. Dharma
means that all beings are interconnected and that eternal truth
principles pervade all the forces of Nature. To seek the Dharma
means to seek to live in harmony with the universe, which is to go
beyond the merely human to what is beneficial for all the worlds,
recognizing the development of consciousness as the main goal of all
life and all existence.
