Tirukudalur - Vaiyamkaatha Perumal Temple

Popular as Aadudurai, this hoary kshetra comes under the Divya Desams of Chola nadu. The Moolavar Vaiyamkaatha Perumal is in standing posture, facing east. He blessed Nandana Maharshi and fulfilled his desires with boons of his choice. The Goddess is called Padmasanavalli Tayar, and the temple tank Chakra thirtha. The garbha griha is beautified witii Suddhasathava Vimana. Daily worship and annual festivals are carried on with great veneration. Tirumangai Alwar adored the Lord with his colourful Pasumramala.

It lies near Tiruvaiyar of Tamilnadu and can be reached by cycle rickshaws or autos.
