Koil - Perarulala Perumal Temple
This is the last of the six Vaishnavate temples situated in the vicinity of
Sirkali. The Moolavar is in standing posture and facing east. The Sthalapurana
narrates the episode of Rudra liberated with the abundant mercy of this lord.
The garbhagriha is adorned with Kanaka Vimana and the temple tank: are called
Hema Pushkarini and Kanaka thirtham.
The
Goddess is called Allimamalar Natchiyar. Daily puja is offered according to
agamic tenets and the periodical festivals lure huge crowds. Tirumangai Alwar
prayed to this Lord and offered Mangalasasan.
This
lies in the Tirunangur town itself and is very near Sirkali in Tamil Nadu.
