Gundala-Channakesavaswamy Aalayam

This is an ancient temple, famous for its superb architectural feat. Built in the Vesara architectural style its component parts, like garbhagriha, antarala, mukhamandap, mahamandap, Pradakshinapatha are vast and has a strong prakara and mahadwara surmounting an imposing tower. The image of Mulavirat Channakesavaswamy made of black granite kooks extramely beautiful and wrings veneration by the superb craftsmanship. The  parivara devatas installed in niches too are best specimens of fine sculpture.

It displays an architectural marvel that is unique and most praise-worthy as evidenced by the reflection of the image of Vimana on the floor of the hall, when light is allowed to pass through a hole of the main door, on shutting all the doors. It is to witness this unique feature art-lovers and miracle-loving people visit this temple, besides the ardent Vaishnavates. The periodical traditional festivals too attract lager number of bhaktas.

It lies in a little village of Pattikonda taluq of Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, having bus facilities from the nearby towns like Pattikonda.
