Out of the Pancha Kesavaalayas - five temples dedicated to Sri Kesavaswamy,
this one though situated in a rural part is no less significant than the other
four. Ryali Kesavaalayam, of course, takes pride of place due to certain unique
features that makes it stand apart from the rest. like the
others
lying at Tanuku, Mandapaka and Duvva, this also has been luring theist
community for over several centuries now. This Kesavaalaya is enshrining a
beautiful icon of Kesavaswamy in standing posture and its sculptural perfection mesmerizes the viewers of any kind. The beautiful icon holds in its four hands,
Panchajanya, Sudarsana, Padma and Gada. And it' is flanked by Sridevi and
I3hudevi. Nityanaimithika worship is offered with due veneration. Of the annual
festivals, the special functions during car festival and Kalyanotsav draw huge
crowds, whose lusty participation consumes huge sums of money.
It
lies near Nidudavol town in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh,
accessible by four wheelers from the nearby towns.
