Ranganathaswamy Aalayam
Situated on the high way between Hyderabad and other important towns like
ZCherla,
Kollapuram etc. Bandepalli occupies great importance in this region. It is a
commercial centre throbbing with business activities throughout
the year. There lies this famous Ranganatha Aayam on a little hillock behind the
bus stand. This was built during the Chola hegemony. The Seshasayi's icon is
beautifully and artistically made, and is heightening the glory of temple by
beckoning the repetition of visits by the bhaktas. The temple architecture built
according to vastu and embellished by fine sculpture attracts the theists

produced immortal books. Ranganatha Ramayana, a classic in Telugu literature was
composed with this Lord's grace and it became very popular as Ranganatha
Ramayana. So the sports of this Lord are as numerous as there are his forms.
There was such a strong belief rather faith .solidified that people going to the
Channakesava temple an equally famous shrine were praying first to this Lord and
to him next. And it gained such potency that if this tradition is bypassed, it tantamount
to sinning. The magnitude of his bounteous anugrah is only to be experienced
than heard or read. Agamic worship and periodical festivals are conducted with
great fanfare due.
